This is one of two abstract landscapes in a similar vein from 2019, both oil on paper, and 39”x49”. I hesitated but then decided to do it and the paper held up nicely, with almost zero buckling on both. I wanted to make large works on paper using oil paint and had rolls of Canson Paper in the studio so I just did it. Although not meant for painting this paper has had a proper prep, I believe three coats of primer and there is little or no bleed on the back or ‘verso’ if you are an art snob. Eye Roll Emoji.
