Flat File Friday, acrylic paintings on paper

Here we are saying so long to another week as measured by Flat File Friday posts. Also closing out the final week of escaping winter, being away for three plus months returning to New York and my studio early next week. It has been a productive time using acrylics making small scale works on paper. I’ve painted quite a bit this period, approximately three hundred and sixty paintings. In addition the sheets of paper used as transfer paintings which is another two hundred? There are a handful of quite good works which I look forward to reviewing upon returning to my studio.

I’ve learned a bit as well, about my process and the possibilities, which is always a nice. When I leave the studio everything changes, I work smaller using acrylics, things just get pared down. It makes you realize how little you need.

I have a list things to do when I get back which makes me tired already but seriously I’m invigorated by Spring and all that needs to happen. Submitting new work for an ongoing licensing agreement. Organization of my studio for a long weekend studio sale. Edit and get rid of work that I find questionable. That is a challenge as I always find something redeemable. Maybe this time I’ll cut out the good part and trash the rest. Have a great day!
