I’ve been away from my blog for a while and here I am. With all there is to keep up, making work and life it’s easy for things to slip. My process lately has been small acrylic works on paper, 9x12 to 24”x18” I’ve been making a few different kinds of paintings lately some abstract some involving or incorporating pattern or motifs. It has kept things fresh for me. I am influenced by some artists that I really admire on social media and the challenge as always is to make it my own. There are times when I feel I’ve made a bootleg of some so I keep those to myself. It’s a tricky business. I should start a file of copies of other artists and see where it goes, like the Critic, Jerry Saltz. It’s a fun idea and after all it is the highest praise as long as you Acknowledge, keep moving forward and Do Not promote it.
